In an effort to demonstrate support for the return of the Cal State Fullerton Football Team, a number of current CSUF students are planning a pregame tailgate party prior to the Fullerton College Football game on November 15. Fullerton College’s Football Team is hosting Santa Ana College that day and it is homecoming for the Hornets. Many of the Cal State Fullerton students see this game as a way to show support for football in Fullerton and are doing just that by planning this pregame get together.
This tailgate and show of support is not limited to just students. Anyone that supports the return of Cal State Fullerton Football, students, alumni, prospective students, community members, is welcome to attend. Here are the details of the event:
When: Saturday, November 15, 2008
Time: 10 am – 1 pm Tailgate
1 pm – 5 pm Fullerton College vs. Santa Ana College football game
Location: CSUF Parking Lot G between Titan Stadium and Yorba Linda Blvd.
Details: BYO beverages, food, grills, etc.
What to wear: Orange or anything that shows that you support Cal State Fullerton bringing back Titan Football. (A Bring Back Titan Football T-shirt would be the best choice.)
The head coach of the Fullerton Hornets is former Cal State Fullerton player Tim Byrnes so this will be an extra special day for him and other former players. This is a surefire way to show the University and the surrounding community that Titan Football, if it returns, will be supported and will thrive in Orange County. If enough people show up wearing orange or CSUF apparel how can the media nor the university ignore that kind of support?
If you would like more information please visit the event page on Facebook or you can email the organizer of the event, Eloy Lopez. (void819 [at] msn [dot] com)
As early as last night, Cal State Fullerton reinstated both men’s and women’s golf because a few alumni wanted it back bad enough….
